Ndui Rock Cottage Kitui Community Training

Josantos Safaris is proud to announce a new partnership with Ndùi Rock Cottage and Cultural Centre to promote authentic cultural experiences and eco‑friendly accommodation in the heart of the community. This collaboration brings together Josantos Safaris’ expertise in tourism and hospitality with Ndùi’s rich cultural heritage, scenic rock formations, and traditional way of life.
From 3rd to 6th February, Josantos Safaris conducted a four‑day training programme for members of the Ndùi community in Kitui county. The training focused on tourism and hospitality skills, including guest handling, housekeeping standards, food safety, customer service, and basic tour guiding. These skills will enable community members to run the cottages smoothly, offer high‑quality stays, and create memorable cultural experiences for visitors.
This initiative is part of Josantos Safaris’ broader commitment to community‑based tourism, where local people are empowered to benefit directly from tourism through jobs, income, and capacity building. By working with Ndùi Rock Cottage and Cultural Centre, Josantos Safaris aims to showcase traditional dances, storytelling, local cuisine, and guided nature walks, while ensuring that tourism remains sustainable and respectful of the environment and culture.
We invite travelers and tour operators to experience the warmth of Ndùi hospitality, stay in the charming rock cottages, and support a community that is learning to welcome the world with confidence and pride.
